I grew up moving consistently on account of my father's employment with the US Air Force. I moved nine times before landing in New York City, where my family lived in temporary housing while our new apartment underwent renovation. Shortly after the move into our renovated home on the Upper West Side, my father became terminally ill and passed away. I was only 13 years old. These events served as the catalyst for the eventual creation of Seriatim, which I founded in 1999 on the belief that no one should ever have to face a difficult life transition alone. I understand how people relate to spaces, and have the staff and resources to bring harmony into peoples homes and work place. Whether you live in a one-bedroom apartment, or a mansion, whether you work in a corporate office or manufacturing warehouse, Seriatim can step in and create harmony for you. XOXO, Sonya read more
Seriatim, which is Latin for “in a series,” is a New York-based company that provides organizing solutions for individuals who are on the move or in transition. The company specializes in creating a detailed process that helps individuals and companies prioritize their needs in a simple and productive manner.
The team of professional organizers, led by decluttering guru Sonya Weisshappel, specializes in easing a variety of transitions, ranging from the birth of a child and an overseas move to the death of a loved one. Seriatim’s crew understands how difficult transitions and organization can be. They serve as a support system through the many stages of the process. Whether they are organizing a closet, building digital inventories, creating baby “zones” for new moms, assisting a widow, unpacking a 5 bedroom home, or coordinating a cross country or local move, they help people move forward in a positive direction. Seriatim’s organizers can tackle any project — big or small — with the expertise, sensitivity and professionalism necessary to get the job done.
