"How are you different from a moving company?"

Seriatim is not a moving company, however, working with them is a regular and necessary part of what we do. Whereas movers pack and lift boxes, Seriatim oversees this process, ensuring our clients' furniture and household goods are both packed safely and placed in their proper settings at the new location. This gives our clients freedom to either go to work on move day, or take care of other important matters. Additionally, movers generally do not unpack, and Seriatim does, staying on the job for as many days as it takes to get our clients settled into their new homes.

"Will you work with our moving company?"

Yes, Seriatim has worked with several different national and local moving companies, and will work with the mover of your choosing. We can also make recommendations if one has not been selected yet.

"Are you insured?"

Yes, Seriatim is bonded and insured. We provide coverage against losses up to the point at which the movers begin to pack, and from the point at which we begin unpacking.

"Can we hire you for just one phase of the relocation process?"

Yes, you and your employee can choose to utilize Seriatim for any number of the relocation phases we handle. Click here for more information about our Relocations Process. We customize our services to meet clients' needs, even when it means accomplishing just one task, such as organizing the kitchen or creating a storage inventory.

"My client has rare art, how would you handle that?"

First, we would contact the insurance carrier and let them know about the upcoming move. Then, we would acquire photographs of the valuables and create a digital inventory. Lastly, we would hire a mover who specializes in art to wrap and crate the pieces, and transporting them to their new location.

"Will you clean our or our employees' home?"

We do not perform cleaning services. However, our resource list has been built over many years, allowing us to schedule most any service provider at your home or office, from cleaners and contractors to interior designers and realtors.

"My employee has to move in one week! How can you help them?"

With a relocation, particularly one in which there is little preparation time, any help is better than none. Once we determine with your employee what their primary household concerns are, we will accomplish as much as time will allow. This might include determining what items need to be donated, sent to family, or moved with the family; or simply being on-site when your employees move in to assist with unpack. Remember, there is as much to be done after a move as there is before!

"What if our employees are moving overseas?"

Settling into a new home and a new country can be particularly overwhelming. Seriatim can arrange for our crew to meet your employees at their new home, or fly over early to meet their household goods as they arrive. We also provide a complete digital inventory of your employee's home, which is stored on a CD for easy viewing anywhere in the world.
