Another member who is bouncing back is Benefits Chair Sonya Weisshappel of Seriatim, Inc., which specializes in organizing and relocation services. She lives and works downtown servicing clients in the Tri-State area. Business, she says, has been high and low since 9/11 when her neighborhood became a disaster zone. Unlike years past, her summer was flat. Typically, she does three times more business. But in the past year, she has invested in enhancing and testing new infrastructure, creating new systems and recognizing strategic alliances, which finally turned a contract with a relocation company. “NAWBO-NYC has been very helpful. It’s full of women who can help and it feels more like a sisterhood.”
